I recently acquired a CAP lite to boost the reach of my home wifi. Bog stand WAN->ROUTER(DHCP) -> WIFI setup. Wireless interfaces on hAP ac2 are setup to be managed by CAPsMAN (I setup some networks with CAPs before, and they work applying the same config) and it has been working standalone. I have had a hAP ac2 working as my home router for couple years.
